Psyched. Part II

For the next few weeks we can hang up our stethoscopes and shelve the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine. We have embarked upon the complex voyage of opacity which is Mental Health.

Building on the teaching we had in the first year, this block seems to be less about flow diagrams and more about people, with the promise that after April we need never touch psychiatry again in the whole of our professional lives.

The morning kicked off with inductions to the Hull hospitals. Psychiatric teaching followed after lunch in the secure unit but we had to wait at least 3 hours to receive our first invitation to have our heads "smashed in".

It's the little things that let you know you're back in Hull. Bring back the flow diagrams.
