Andrew Marr, we salute you

I'm enjoying all the media coverage of the new accelerator at CERN. Not so much because of my undergrad roots, but rather because of the entertainment derived from listening to Britain's journalists talking about something they clearly neither understand nor actually care about.

The distinctively Radio 4 audience of Radio 4 was repeatedly informed on Wednesday morning that, firstly, "this is interesting" and secondly, "you should care about it." Neither of which is particularly true. But hats off to Mr Andrew Marr, whose undaunted coverage of the accelerator's start-up kept me and a friend laughing all the way to Scunthorpe.
