Beavering away

This post is due largely to technical difficulties again.

I should be working hard, looking for articles on Crohn's disease and what causes it. However, the database I need to use to find the journals is down.

My alternatives:
1) walk to my department in the rain and the dark to see if another computer will let me in;
2) blog;
3) eat crisps.

The beauty of these last two is I can do them simultaneously, thus doubling my productivity.

I have only a week left to write this essay and it's getting a bit stressful. But to take our minds off that, here are some other things I've been doing.

-Went to a club. (Though not actually into the club. The Fusion Christian Thing in the university provides free water bottles for those staggering out of the union club on Saturday nights. It's really successful and very well recieved by the students.)

-Performed physical examination of a patient's lungs.

-Stared into a thoracic cavity trying to distinguish grey tubes from other grey tubes.

-Discovered the joys of non-iron shirts.

-Drank Guiness.

-Bought MS Office (ouch).

-Compiled lists.

-Scraped the barrel.

That's about it. Where's my umbrella? Productivity here I come.

Hi there! I know it's been a long time and I'm sorry for that. I enjoy reading about your escapades at med school...it sounds like you have adjusted quite well to being back in uni life!
Let me know what you find out about Crohn's Disease because I have it. I've done research of my own, but i've never found anything concrete and my doctor is a bit poor when it comes to explaining those things....good luck with your research....one site i've gone to was www.mayoclinic.com click on their diseases and conditions icon....the site has some good stuff about crohn's.
Have a great day and keep studying hard!

You have a week before your essay is due? Well that's 6 days and 18 hours before you really need to start work on it then. Eat more crisps.
