'Diabolical Degrees'

I've had this image in my mind today. It's a doctor-patient consultation and the doctor is leaning towards the patient and saying, "We've had the results of your tests back, Mrs Morris, and I'm sorry to tell you you have the lurgy."

Where does this come from, does anybody know? I think it's a Far Side Cartoon.

It would be apt if it was. Those cartoons have been in my head since I started this course. There are so many that keep coming to mind to do with microbiology, doctors and surgeons. Every time a lecturer puts up a side of a cell micrograph, I keep expecting to see a small pair of subcellular 1970s spectacles.

I wonder if you could teach an entire degree soley through cartoons. It would be like the ultimate 'Horrible Histories'!

Oh yeah. Sorry. Maybe you could be the pioneer of cartoon-based higher education.

Geography - that's just teaching you to colour between the lines!

The Why of Where. I guess history is the What of When and anatomy is the Where of Whom. This is fun!
